Applicable to institutions in Wales onlyDeleting Records

The hierarchy of LLWR records in ebs: central is as follows:

  1. Learner
  2. Learning Programme
  3. Learning Activity
  4. Award
  5. Higher Education

In order for a record to exist, there must also be an existing record at a higher level. For example: for an award or HE record to exist, there must be a related learner, learning programme and learning activity record.

When deleting a learning programme record, all the related records at a lower level must also be deleted, that is: learning activity, award and HE records. This process eliminates the production of orphaned records.

If the Cascade Del to Reg Unit LLWR institution setting is set to Y, and the Delete Flag is set to Y for a LLWR record on the appropriate wideboy, the following message is displayed.
